Louis Jude “Lou” Ferrigno, born on 9 November 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American actor, fitness trainer, fitness consultant and retired professional bodybuilder. As an actor, he is best known for his title role in the television series The Incredible Hulk (1977–1982).

As a bodybuilder, Lou Ferrigno has won the IFBB Mr. America title once and the IFBB Mr. Universe title twice. He became famous in 1975 when he appeared in the bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron, where he attempted to beat Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 1977 he competed in the first annual World’s Strongest Man competition and finished fourth out of eight competitors.

Lou Ferrigno made his acting debut in 1977 as the Hulk in the television series The Incredible Hulk. He made his film debut in 1983 with the title role in Hercules. In 2012 he was a contestant on season five of the reality television series The Celebrity Apprentice and was fired in episode nine.
